Makenna Chang stands as a beacon of musical excellence and education, distinguished by her comprehensive achievements and experiences. Her journey in music, marked by mastery over piano and violin, was significantly shaped by her tenure as School Music Captain, leading her to perform and excel in numerous competitions and orchestras. Her academic prowess was equally notable, earning her accolades such as the School Music Prize and the University of NSW Mathematics Prize during her time at Wenona School.

Makenna's educational journey was enriched by her studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she delivered outstanding performances and won major prizes across competitions in Sydney. Continuing her musical ascent, she was also mentored by Associate Professor Goetz Richter at the University of Sydney’s Conservatorium of Music, overseeing performance studies for violinists. Beyond her performances, Makenna's commitment to community service and her ability to inspire through teaching make her an invaluable asset to our music school, where she is devoted to nurturing the next generation of musicians with passion and expertise.
